The best Chicken restaurants you must try in Prague – 2024
Are you visiting the capital of the Czech Republic and craving some chicken?
Here we are with our recommendations on where to find the best chicken restaurants in Prague.
The Czech Republic and its capital offer a wide range of classic food restaurants of good quality, and you could say at a reasonable price compared to other European capitals.
Even so, with the multitude of tourists that visit these cities every year, the variety has expanded and, in addition to classic Czech food, you can find many other options like gourmet burgers, incredible Italian pizzas, or juicy and tasty chicken.

In this post, we will provide you with the three best chicken restaurants in Prague that, according to us, are worth a visit, whether you live in the capital or are just traveling for a few days.
1.KOHOUTECKBest chicken restaurants in Prague
We start with the first incredible proposal, and I’m already lying to you because I’m not talking about a restaurant that sells chicken.
How?
Why?
Let me clarify before you leave: Kohoutek in Czech means “small rooster or cockerel,” and although it’s still a bird, it’s not exactly a chicken.
Despite this, this small rooster is an absolute treat for your palate, and you definitely can’t miss it on your next stay in Prague. Juicy, well-seasoned, and served with different sauces or sides, these friendly Italian guys who run it know what they’re doing.
We went several times to eat here, and besides having a blast, they never disappointed us.
So if you’re still wondering, yes, this popular restaurant will remain in our recommendations for the best chicken restaurants in Prague, or if you prefer, I could write a small rooster ;-).

2. CARLITOS – Polleria al Carbon – Best chicken restaurants in Prague
One of the new entries of 2024 in the Vinohrady neighborhood, and what a blast. This Nikkei pollería, a fusion between Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, has one of the best chicken in Prague, and probably one of the best we have eaten in a long time.
If you have visited Peru, you know that rotisserie chicken is a delicacy in this country, and there are many pollerías that offer this dish throughout the country. Now, from our 4-month experience in Peru,
I can tell you that undoubtedly Carlitos could have lines of locals in any corner of Peru, as indeed it does in Prague today.
Their system is simple, yet quite functional: take-out chicken with the Bento box service. If you’re wondering what a bento box is, it’s a take-out meal box typical of Japanese cuisine, which always includes a protein, rice, sauces, or salad, for example.
In this case, Carlitos offers its chicken with delicious Japanese onigiri and traditional finger-licking sauces.
The most fun part of all is that the owner and staff work on roller skates, with a smile and positive attitude that will make you want to come back again and again.
Surely, Carlitos is one of the best chicken restaurants in Prague, especially if you want to eat something delicious with your friends and family at home or on a hot day in the park.
3.KRO Vinohrady Bistro & Rotisserie Best chicken restaurants in Prague
Kro is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants serving chicken in Prague, and now I’ll tell you why. Imagine eating at a restaurant where the raw materials are the foundation of the entire project and, although casual day-to-day food is served, the techniques used to prepare it are the most modern.
Behind all this, you will find KRO and their magnificent chicken. Although they have different locations in the city, we recommend, if you want to eat a good and juicy rotisserie chicken, the Vinohrady branch. Here you can find delicious marinated chicken, slowly cooking, and waiting to be bitten and enjoyed by a lucky customer.
For me, since 2019, Kro has been a reference for chicken in Prague, especially because the raw materials come from nearby farms and local farmers, giving this project an edge over the competition.
Remember that in summer and with good weather, you can enjoy their terrace, which is a big plus since the Vinohrady location is quite small.
