As mentioned in the first part, we recommend beaches we really like and visit. For sure, everyone has their own preferences so feel free to let us know about other great beaches in this part of Sardinia.
Remember that you will need to rent a car to get to the best beaches as in Sardinia public transport is not recommendable.

East Sardinia
We explored this part of Sardinia this year and it was amazing how different are the beaches from the South part of the island. White sand and crystal water surrounded by mountains are the main characteristics of this part of the island.
Recommended Beaches:
Cala Liberotto
It’s amazing beach long enough to walk for some time?. There is paid parking unless you stay in the camp next to the beach. You will be also able to find a bar for a fresh beer.
Spiaggia di Berchida
To get to this beach, you have to pass a quite bumby road for about 10min so make sure you have paid full insurance?. There is paid parking 10e for the whole day (during high season) but there is enough space for everybody.

Oasis di Bidderosa
Next, to this beach, you will find Oasis di Bidderosa which has limited access. To preserve this amazing retreat in the greenery you have to pay a ticket before you enter (12-16e).
There is limited space for 140 cars so we recommend going early in the morning. You can also go to the Spiaggia di Berchida and walk on the beach to this Oasis. This way you only pay 1e/person and you can have a nice swim. It’s definitely worth it!
Cala Goloritze and Cala Mariolu
Probably the two most beautiful beaches on the Eastern Coast of Sardinia. They remain authentic as it is not easy to get to them? There are only two options: by boat or walking.
You can rent a boat at Cala Gonone or if you decide to walk, prepare for 2h long challenging trekking trail. There is no bar on the beach, so we totally recommend to take drinks and food with yourself.
If you go by boat, you will have to swim to get to the beach as boats are not allowed to stop at the beach. Both of the beaches are totally worth it!
These are our top beaches which we can recommend 100%!
