We strongly believe that breakfast is an important part of the day. Especially when we’re thinking about the best breakfast in Amsterdam, we have to include freshly made croissants with delicious coffee.

The question remains, where to find the freshly made croissants in Amsterdam?

Since we have been living in Barcelona for many years, we found great places for croissants like Hofmann Pasteleria, Escriba, Takashi Ochiai or La Pastisseria from famous Pastry Chef Jose Maria Rodriguez.

When I think of Hofmann croissant with raspberry jam or mascarpone, it brings a smile on my face.

Since we are living in Amsterdam, we have been searching for freshly made croissants which will remind us of the croissants in Barcelona.

We found it! Let me introduce you to Bakken Met Passie.

Bakken Met Passie

It’s located close to the Albert Cuyp Market.

Find the exact location just here:

Albert Cuypstraat 53, Amsterdam

Before you enter the bakery, you can actually see how they make croissant next door.

Of course, apart from delicious croissants, you will also find other amazing pastries like the famous Dutch Apple cake or chocolate rolls. You can also buy freshly made bread of all kinds.

We opted in for plain croissant and almond croissant.

Both delicious!

We totally recommend it if you are looking for an amazing breakfast in Amsterdam for a fair price.

Enjoy and feel free to let us know where we can find other delicious croissants in Amsterdam City. We will definitely try them.
