Where to stay in Bruges
As we were coming by car, we have to consider accommodation with a good parking option. We booked our accommodation at Booking.com as we use them for many years and they have many different accommodation types so its easy to find the accommodation which best suits your needs.
To stay in Bruges we booked B&B Eleven which was a great choice. It is located about 10-15min walk from the historic city centre, there is a possibility for free parking outside and the breakfast was really amazing. The owners live next door and they really make sure to give each customer special attention. We were asked what time we want to have breakfast so they will prepare it at the moment for us. We were offered many different options like croissants, toast, fruit or eggs accompanied with delicious coffee.

Bruges is a perfect city for a walk, however, we totally recommend to take a canal ride as its beautiful. The most famous spot to start a canal tour is from Roezenhoedkaai and probably it is also the most photographed location in Bruges.

Canal ride is definitely one of the top things to do in Bruges and as we mentioned before, Bruges is sometimes called ´Venice of the North´ for a reason:)
Minnewaterpark
Minnewaterpark is located on the south of Bruges and it is probably the most romantic spot in Bruges. This place is popular for the swans and the ´Lake of Love´ which evolved into legend saying that if you walk over the lake bridge with your partner, you will experience eternal love.
Sint-Janshuis Mill
Many visitors don’t realize that the windmills in Bruges date back to the 13th century. The Sint-Janshuis Mill is the only mill opened to the visitors and which also keep grinding flour.
