In this post, we changed our focus and we are going to share more secrets about where to eat international cuisine in Barcelona.

Of course, we love Paella, tapas and traditional Spanish dishes however sometimes we just feel like we want to try something new.

We especially look for Asian cuisine and South American delicatessen as we just love this kind of food. I would even say that we love Japanese food or any kind of fusion with Japanese cuisine. When we visited Japan we quickly realized that Japanese food is amazingly fresh, delicious and you can eat a lot of it.

Anyway, back to Barcelona and our special recommendations on where to eat incredible international food here.

  • Ceviche 103: great quality of products and a bit different menu from the classic Peruvian ceviche.
  • Yakumanka: restaurant of the famous Peruvian Chef Gaston Acurio, if you want to try the best quality food this will be your place.

There are probably too many Mexican restaurants in Barcelona so we will highlight some of the ones we personally like and recommend.

  • El Tianguis: good quality-price, restaurant with street Mexican food like fried nachos and great margaritas.
  • Tlaxcal: located in the heart of Born, it was recommended by our Mexican friend and it was delicious.
  • COME: The only Mexican Michelin star restaurant in Barcelona run by Chef Paco Mendez which takes Mexican cuisine to another level .

Venezuelan Restaurants – where to eat in Barcelona

  • La Cachapera: located in Eixample you will find this Venezuelan restaurant with a nice atmosphere and delicious food.

Vegetarian Restaurants – where to eat in Barcelona

  • Avocado : this restaurant offers Street food from Latin America, almost all dishes have the option to be vegetarian or vegan (you can just add meat or fish if you want), delicious vegan desserts, we totally recommend it.
  • Vegetalia : they have 2 different restaurants in Barcelona, delicious and as an extra, they use their own products from the farm.
  • Teresa Carles: another great vegetarian restaurant where to eat in Barcelona. It is located just a few meters from Plaza Catalunya.

Indian Restaurants – where to eat in Barcelona

  • Casa masala : They started with a food truck and now they have their own restaurant in the middle of the Eixample neighborhood.
  • Tandoor : located very close to Espanya square you will find this amazing Indian restaurant with a modern touch.
  • Bembi : an elegant restaurant that offers excellent food from different parts of India, very recommended.

Ethiopian Restaurants – where to eat in Barcelona

Addis Abeba: if you are looking to explore new cuisines, this restaurant offers delicious Ethiopian cuisine where you can eat with your hands, price 15-30 EUR/pax

  • La Pimpa: A great option is close to Diagonal, they offer pizza and also some traditional Italian dishes including a daily menu, very recommended.

  • Carlota Akaneya: Sumibiayki restaurant ( Japanese BBG with vegetal coal) where do you cook your meal the way you want it, delicious.
  • Koy Shunka: Hideki Matsuhisa Chef and owner (also for Majide and Shunka) totally deserves a Michelin star for his delicious food. For us, his sushi was the closest version to the sushi we tried in Japan.

  • Bangkok café: This restaurant with authentic Thai cuisine, delicious food and nice atmosphere.
  • Lamun: Another amazing restaurant where to eat in Barcelona. This time right in the Sant Antoni neighborhood. They have a great quality of meat and fish, as well as organic wines.

Vietnamese Restaurants – Where to eat in Barcelona

  • Monviet: if you like Vietnamese food with informal atmosphere, street food plastic plates and chairs this is a place for you, great quality- price.

Philippines Restaurants – Where to eat in Barcelona

  • Los Hermanos: traditional Philippines restaurant, if you like giblets they have various dishes ( kidney, liver).
  • Kasarap Barcelona: Another incredible restaurant serving authentic Filipino cuisine, perhaps even better than in its home country! 

English Restaurants – Where to eat in Barcelona

  • The Fish and chips shop : Probably it is not the classic fish and chips from London, however, the owners-chefs took this dish to another level, they have various restaurants opened in Barcelona and they also offer another tapas if you want to try something new.
